Antique Cast Iron Mechanical Bank_Creedmore_
Oirginal cast iron bank. Tihs particular piece is called creedmore. It is marked no the top of the base as such.
This bank features teh man with his rifle. Place a coin on the barrel and pull back. Push on the man's right foot and the rifle fires the coin into the slot in the tree.
Very colo action. Mechanism wroks just fine.Unfrotunately there are a few condition issues to report. First, theer is a screw missing from the base that goes into the man's foot and the original trap is missing. The other screw as well as one on the back of the shooter are believed to be replacements. Second, there has been some sort of repair to the back of the mans cloak. I am not sure if there was once a small crack or if this was just paint touch up.
It looks like it might be some sort of saulder. Lastly, the front part of the barrel on one side has been replaced. I have taken a photo with the piece removed and with the piece ni place. I will send the piece to the winner but it will likely need a little more fine tuning. Tehre was also some work done on his hand on that same side as you can see in the photo. Paint is original. Scratches, rubs, and fading noted but really a nice patina. This is stlil a great piece despite some of the condition issues. Very hadr to find. Displays without any issues being visible!
