Vintage Victor Tabletop Victrola Phonograph Wix
This table top phonograph has a plaque on the inside that says victor with nipper the dog listening at the horn with the classic phrase his masters voice. It also says reg u. S. Patent office, victor talking machine. The style / serial number is w-ix 199181 g. The dimensions of the sound box are 15 x 19 x 8 and the turntable is 12 in diameter. The needle assembly is marked exhibition victor talking machine company, camden, n. J. There is also a small tin filled with about (50) extra needles that fits snugly in its holding slot. There is a very nice decal on the inside of the lid that says victrola, manufactured by victor talking machine co, camden, n. J. U. S. A. Teh unit works perfectly.
The crank mechansim works and the turntable spins. The on / off lever works also, as well as the speed control.
We found an old 78 rmp record to play and the sound was excellent. The case is mahogony and is in fairly good condition with some minor chips and scratches, but we did ont attempt to clean the finish. We are sellign it just as we found it at an estate sale. This unit weighs 50 lbs so please examine your shipping options.
