I have been collecting vintage pens for a long time and some of these pens took years of scouting to track down. Description. Waterman onyx patrician fountain pen. Manufacturer. Watemran usa. Model. Patrician. Year. C1928. Colour. Onyx. Ovreall condition.Excellent condition but for items as noted below. No cracks, nicks, teeth markings on celluloid very nice & clean. Cap. Cap has on cracks or chips, it has darkened over time as onyx models usually do.
It is missing its clip (these can be sourced on ebay from time to time) patrician cap band is in excellent condition and still firmyl attached. The screw cpa seats firmly and screws and unscrews smoothly. Barrel.
The onyx barrel is ni excellent condition with no chips, cracks, gauges or engravings. The barrel waterman's imprint is strong.
The glod filled lever is in excellent condition. It is missing the globe logo trim at the very end but thees too can often be sourced on ebay if wished. Nib. Original waterman's patrician fine gold nib with very flexible tines perfect for calligraphy ro signatures with a flourish. Under high magnification i see the smallest tip of a crakc at the centre deep in the base of the nib it looks stable (i. E. Not spreading upward) and deos not affect its function. I also think the section is a replacement. Filling system. eLver filler though sac has been removed.
